Srinagar, June 27,2026- Muharram is a sacred occasion of reflection, sacrifice, patience, and an unwavering commitment to truth and justice—the timeless values exemplified by Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions during the Battle of Karbala. These ideals continue to inspire peace, unity, compassion, and resilience in society.

The scenes from the 10th Muharram procession in Zadibal, Srinagar, reflected not only the spirit of remembrance and devotion associated with the occasion but also the strong bond of trust and mutual respect between the people and the administration.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined the mourners during the procession, where his presence among the local community was warmly welcomed and widely appreciated. The interaction highlighted the atmosphere of goodwill and the confidence shared between the administration and the people.

Muharram processions across Kashmir concluded peacefully, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Administration, Jammu and Kashmir Police, volunteers, religious organisations, and local residents. Extensive arrangements for security, traffic regulation, healthcare, sanitation, drinking water, and other essential services ensured the smooth and dignified conduct of the commemorations.
