The District Emergency Operations Centre has been equipped to function as a centralized hub for disaster management, emergency response, and inter-departmental coordination. The facility will help authorities monitor weather conditions, road connectivity, medical emergencies, and other critical aspects during the pilgrimage.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Control Room will serve as the nerve centre for overseeing pilgrimage-related operations, enabling real-time communication among security agencies, civil administration, health services, disaster management teams, and other stakeholders involved in the Yatra.
Officials said that advanced monitoring systems and communication infrastructure have been incorporated into the facilities to ensure prompt response to any emergency situation and to improve overall operational efficiency.
The Lieutenant Governor reviewed various arrangements being put in place for the annual pilgrimage and emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all departments to ensure the safety, security, and convenience of devotees.
