LG Manoj Sinha Honours Pride of J&K: Courage, Kindness & Selfless Service Inspire Society I believe that the courage, kindness and selfless service that you have demonstrated inspires those in this community and the rest of society, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha addressing a function to honour those who earned the repute of Pride of Jammu & Kashmir through their selfless service. Those who have been awarded come from different regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Their work areas and professional lives are also different. But if I talk about the objective, then the objective is the same for everyone, LG said. Everyone is engaged in the same type of work. And if I talk about resolution, the resolution also seems to be the same. Helping others is a part of their character at their core. The person who shares the pain and suffering of others with tolerance, humility and altruism, tries to understand them, thinks about them and helps them, truly attains the true meaning of life, the Lieutenant Governor added. I believe that the efforts of this team will empower the public and inspire other citizens to take life-improving actions in natural disaster. Due to the intervention of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Jammu Kashmir administration received the approval letter for more than 5000 houses under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana for Jammu Kashmir. There are many people who were honoured here who helped people by risking their lives. Many disasters bear witness to the fact that our harmony with nature has been broken. It is true that last month states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand were facing natural disasters. News of devastation was also coming from other parts of the world. Many places which used to be discussed for one reason are being discussed for other reasons today, LG stated. Countless young people from India are waving the tricolour and chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ there. This change is definitely a good sign. The tricolor flag fluttering at Lal Chowk is a new symbol of the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir. The youth on the streets of Pulwama raising their voice against terrorism and separatism sends a message to the entire world. I think the way the people here stood up against terrorism after the Pahalgam attack is a very good sign. This is no minor change. The tide has turned to wipe out the entire terrorist ecosystem and we can now move forward, LG said. The Army, security forces and Jammu and Kashmir Police have been given complete freedom to crush these terrorists, said the Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha.
