LG Manoj Sinha honours armed forces on operation sindoor anniversary

Kashmir, May 7,2026-Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday paid tribute to the armed forces on the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, praising the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the men and women in uniform who responded firmly to threats against innocent civilians in Pahalgam.

Marking the anniversary, the Lieutenant Governor said the nation bows in reverence to the bravery and determination displayed by the armed forces in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the country. He described Operation Sindoor as a symbol of India’s strong resolve against terrorism and forces attempting to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir.

Referring to the attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam, the Lieutenant Governor said the operation reflected the commitment of the security forces to give a fitting response to enemies targeting peace and stability in the region.

“Operation Sindoor is a declaration etched in resolve that our brave armed forces are committed to protecting the country’s sovereignty and integrity at any cost,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor further stated that the operation stands as a testament to India’s firm determination to dismantle terror networks and ensure a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to maintaining peace, strengthening security, and supporting the efforts of armed forces and security agencies working in the Union Territory.

Officials and citizens across Jammu and Kashmir also remembered the sacrifices of security personnel and acknowledged the role played by the armed forces in ensuring safety and stability in the region.

The anniversary was marked by tributes, patriotic events, and messages of solidarity honouring the courage and dedication of India’s defence forces.
