J&K LG Manoj Sinha envisions Jammu as global spiritual hub

Jammu, March 19, 2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has envisioned transforming Jammu into a global spiritual hub, highlighting the city’s rich religious heritage and its potential to attract devotees and spiritual tourists from around the world.

Speaking at a recent event, the LG emphasized that Jammu’s centuries-old temples, shrines, and religious traditions position it uniquely to become a center of faith, culture, and spiritual tourism. He outlined plans to enhance infrastructure, improve pilgrim facilities, and promote Jammu as a world-class destination for spiritual seekers.

“The spiritual legacy of Jammu is unparalleled. By developing it as a global spiritual hub, we aim to attract international tourists while preserving our cultural and religious heritage,” Sinha said.

The initiative includes modernizing facilities at key pilgrimage sites such as Raghunath Temple, promoting festivals like Navratri and Vaishno Devi celebrations, and creating eco-friendly tourism circuits to ensure a holistic experience for visitors.

Officials believe this move will boost not only religious tourism but also the local economy, generate employment opportunities, and position Jammu as a symbol of India’s spiritual and cultural identity on the global map.

With these initiatives, Jammu is poised to become a prominent destination for devotees, spiritual enthusiasts, and international tourists, reflecting India’s commitment to preserving its spiritual heritage while embracing modern development.
