LG Manoj Sinha attends rudra abhishek ceremony on Shivacharya Abhinavgupta Jayanti in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 25,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday attended the Rudra Abhishek Ceremony organised on the auspicious occasion of Shivacharya Abhinavgupta Jayanti and Nirjala Ekadashi at Shri Anandishwar Bhairav Nath Ji Maharaj Asthapan in Maisuma, Srinagar.

On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor paid obeisance and participated in the sacred rituals, praying for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all citizens.

Highlighting the enduring legacy of Shivacharya Abhinavgupta, the Lieutenant Governor said that the life and teachings of the great philosopher, mystic, and foremost exponent of Kashmir Shaivism continue to illuminate India’s rich spiritual heritage. He noted that Abhinavgupta’s profound contributions to philosophy, aesthetics, literature, and the doctrine of Self-recognition remain a timeless beacon of non-dual consciousness and spiritual wisdom.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that Abhinavgupta’s teachings transcend time and continue to inspire generations of scholars, seekers, and devotees across the world. He said that Kashmir’s ancient spiritual traditions and philosophical heritage have made invaluable contributions to India’s civilizational ethos.

The ceremony witnessed the participation of religious leaders, devotees, and members of the local community, who gathered to mark the sacred occasion with devotion and reverence. Special prayers and religious rituals were performed as part of the Rudra Abhishek ceremony.

The observance of Shivacharya Abhinavgupta Jayanti and Nirjala Ekadashi served as an occasion to celebrate Kashmir’s spiritual legacy while reinforcing the values of harmony, self-realization, and cultural unity.
