Kashmir, April 28,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended the launch of the book “The Waves of Resilience: Story of Radio Sharda”, highlighting the role of community media in preserving culture and identity.
The book chronicles the journey of Radio Sharda, founded by Sh. Ramesh Hangloo, and its efforts to promote language, heritage, and cultural continuity through radio broadcasting. Both leaders appreciated the initiative and congratulated Hangloo and contributors for documenting the inspiring story of resilience and community engagement.
LG Manoj Sinha emphasized the importance of such platforms in strengthening cultural roots and giving voice to regional traditions, while Shivraj Singh Chouhan noted that community-driven media initiatives play a vital role in connecting society and preserving India’s diversity.
The event reflected the growing recognition of local media institutions as key contributors to cultural preservation and social cohesion in Jammu and Kashmir.
