Jammu , February 3,2026 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday addressed the Amar Ujala’s Inspirational Teachers Award Ceremony, underscoring the vital role of forward-thinking educators in preparing students for the rapidly evolving challenges of the future, including artificial intelligence disruptions, climate change, and technological transformation.
Speaking at the event, the Lieutenant Governor stressed that teachers must go beyond conventional teaching methods to equip students with critical thinking, innovation, adaptability, and ethical grounding. He said educators have a decisive role in inspiring young minds to pioneer breakthroughs and contribute to a dynamic, innovation-driven economy.
“Teachers and their craft form the backbone of a society and the soul of the nation. They are the bedrock of tomorrow,” LG Manoj Sinha said, highlighting that the future of the country depends on how effectively teachers nurture talent and curiosity in classrooms today.
Emphasising the transformative power of education, the Lieutenant Governor remarked that a classroom is far more than four walls and a blackboard. “A classroom is the glowing forge of a blacksmith, where raw futures are hammered and shaped anew,” he said, drawing applause from the audience.
LG Sinha lauded the award-winning teachers for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence, noting that inspirational educators not only impart knowledge but also instil values, confidence, and a sense of purpose among students.
He also called for continuous upskilling of teachers to keep pace with emerging technologies, global shifts, and new learning paradigms, ensuring that students are prepared to navigate uncertainty and seize opportunities in a fast-changing world.
