First of all I would like to congratulate all those working with the resolution of ‘Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi’ and the inauguration of Srinagar Smart City Limited’s project, Real-Time Noise Monitoring Stations & System for Srinagar City on August 3, 2023, and the citizens for this achievement, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. Efforts are being made to improve the quality of living of the people. The technologies in these system could make facilities better in general for the common citizens, LG said. What is really intended will be accomplished. Whether it is ‘My Srinagar Portal’ or its App or ‘My City, My Ideas’. Through these common man will communicate and his needs can be understood, LG said. Projects are decided accordingly and this should be the priority of any administration. We can improve the facilities of smart city and move towards its smart solution, LG stated. LG happily shared that in seven months this year one crore twenty seven lakh tourists came to J&K. This figure is going to go above 9.25 crore this year. I believe all these works have been possible because there is peace here. Ever since I joined in my position, I have been saying that development will happen when there is peace. If there will be no peace, there cannot be development be it in any corner of the world, LG stated emphatically. Calling out in strict tone, the Lieutenant Governor squarely stated that dual character will not work, terrorists will have to be called terrorists. I think whoever is saying no is patronising them somewhere, LG said. The people of Kashmir and Jammu will also have to understand this, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha firmly stated.
