Bhaderwah, May 30 ,2026- The picturesque Bhaderwah Valley in Jammu and Kashmir is set to host the Lavender Festival 2026 on June 6 and 7, showcasing the region’s growing success in lavender cultivation and agri-tourism. The festival aims to promote lavender farming, attract tourists, and highlight the economic opportunities emerging from aromatic crop cultivation in the Union Territory.

Organized with the support of agricultural and tourism departments, the two-day event will feature lavender field tours, cultural performances, exhibitions of lavender-based products, expert interactions, and awareness programs for farmers and entrepreneurs. Visitors will get an opportunity to witness the blooming lavender fields that have transformed Bhaderwah into one of India’s leading lavender-producing regions.

The festival is expected to draw tourists, agricultural experts, researchers, and entrepreneurs from across the country. Officials believe the event will further strengthen Jammu and Kashmir’s position under the Aroma Mission and encourage youth participation in high-value agriculture.

Over the years, lavender cultivation has emerged as a profitable alternative for farmers in Bhaderwah, generating employment opportunities and boosting rural incomes through the production of essential oils and value-added products.

The Lavender Festival 2026 is expected to celebrate the success of the “Purple Revolution” while promoting sustainable agriculture, rural entrepreneurship, and tourism in the region.
