Landless poor getting 5 marlas of land in Jammu and Kashmir

One decision the Jammu and Kashmir administration took sometime back was that those poor who were eligible for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and who it was visible did not possess land, they could be given land. In the rest of the states of the country, there is such a system that the poor can be given land. But there was no such system in Jammu and Kashmir. So the decision was made by the government to give 5 Marlas of land or 150 sq yards of land to the landless poor. Recently, 2711 people have been given their space to build their own homes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream that everyone should have a home in the country is being fulfilled. This decision hurts some people. It hurts those who built their houses on government land. They also build houses for their near ones. They feel they have a right on government property. No bar to them should exist on using Government property. They should understand that now this system is over, LG said. The discrimination system ended on August 5, 2019 with the abrogation of Article 370. Now the resolution of the administration and Hon’ble PM Modi states that the first right on government resources belongs to the poor people of the country and Jammu and Kashmir. The first right belongs to the Dalits and Adivasis. Now how do I explain to them that poor people live here and landless people also live here? And I know their pain, lG said… Sitam Bhi Sehna, Dua Bhi Dena, Gaya Bebasi Ka Woh Zamana Agar Hai Himmat to Girao Bijli Bana Rahe Hain Hum Ashiana Bana Rahe Hain Hum Ashiana
