Samba, December 19: The J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board Samba hosted an awareness program at Village Sangwali in Block Ghagwal. The event, aimed at promoting self-employment among the youth, was inaugurated by Suresh Kumar Sharma, DDC Ghagwal, in the presence of Ex-Sarpanch Sangwali, senior citizens, unemployed youth, and members of the local community.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Ghagwal encouraged unemployed youth to establish their own income-generating ventures by leveraging the schemes offered by KVIB. He commended KVIB’s pivotal role in fostering employment opportunities through its various programs and emphasised the importance of self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Earlier, Vinod Kumar, District Officer KVIB, extended a warm welcome to the participants and provided a comprehensive briefing on the government’s self-employment schemes. He urged the youth to take advantage of these initiatives to achieve financial independence and contribute to the region’s economic growth.
The program served as a platform to inspire and guide aspiring entrepreneurs, highlighting the transformative potential of KVIB’s schemes in empowering individuals and communities.
