Kupwara, 30 September 2025: In a remarkable initiative to foster innovation and resilience, the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Young Indians chapter, in collaboration with the Indian Army’s Vajr Division, launched the Yi Kashmir Mentorship Initiative in Kupwara. The program aims to nurture young entrepreneurs through mentorship, guidance, and national exposure.
Several local startups are already making a mark under this initiative. Dream Cabs, once a small venture, has scaled into a fleet of 45 vehicles, while Keran Lights is introducing sustainable energy solutions in remote areas. FLWOK continues to empower women with entrepreneurial opportunities, and Barkat Bistro, led by Veer Naris, stands as a symbol of courage and self-reliance.
The initiative underscores the role of entrepreneurship in empowerment, inclusivity, and nation-building, highlighting how grassroots ventures can transform communities, generate employment, and foster sustainable development in Kupwara and across Jammu and Kashmir.
