Kashmir’s cycling star Adil Teli pedals his way to the 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Series in Australia

February 27, 2025 -Adil Teli, a record-breaking cyclist from Kashmir, has secured his place in the 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Series, scheduled for October 16-19 in Victoria, Australia. The 26-year-old from Budgam earned his qualification with a standout performance at the Spinneys Dubai Cycling Challenge, finishing in the top 25% of his age group among over 400 international competitors.

Teli, already a national sensation, rose to fame in 2021 by cycling 3,600 km from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in just over eight days. In 2022, he clinched a Guinness World Record for the fastest Manali-Leh ride, covering 475 km in under 30 hours. His latest achievement in Dubai highlights his growing prowess on the global stage.

Set to compete along Australia’s scenic Great Ocean Road, Teli called the opportunity a “dream come true” and vowed to represent India with pride. His journey from Kashmir’s challenging terrains to an international championship underscores his passion and grit, inspiring many back home.
