Kashmir opens up for Kumaon Literary Festival

Kumaon Literary Festival was celebrated in Kashmir from October 18-October 20, 2022. Writers, thinkers, artists, and professionals from the film world were welcomed by the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha. He thanked the organisers for putting up this art and culture festival in Kashmir. He said India had a rich past. But we need to focus on our current status. We need inspiration from the past to make our present rich in culture. The new generation of writers will take Literary Festival to greater heights in the world literary circle. A lady participant said the goal of this festival is to provide a space and medium for our literature and for the young authors. This is the first time a literature festival has been organised in Kashmir in so many years, she said. This is the beginning and we are witnessing the love and beauty of this place. The main intention is to promote Kashmir, its art, history, culture, and heritage, said another male participant. And to showcase Kashmir in a positive light through these topics. Film makers, actresses, authors, chefs, artists from different genres were there who wanted to exhibit their art form and in their artistic work are linking Kashmir.
