Kashmir Kicks Ahead with KSL 2025: Football Returns to Kashmir with Roaring Crowds & Govt Support Football players in Kashmir were ecstatic that the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha had come to watch the semi-finals game of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2025 Football match in Jammu & Kashmir’s Srinagar. And we won this semi-finals right in front of his eyes, said the player. Insha Allah, we will win the finals as well and we want the Governor to come and watch the finals too, the football player added. We request everybody to come and watch this beautiful game as this kind of a tournament is happening for the first time in Kashmir, said Team Manager, Aqua Avengers, Zaheen Zargar. The supporters, fans and the crowd’s enthusiasm can be clearly seen. I would like to thank every body for coming to watch this game. The organising committee did a tremendous and fabulous job. For the first time this has happened at this level in Kashmir. Zaheen Zargar, Team Manager, Aqua Avengers said that he was very happy that football had gathered its space, a space that was lost for a decade. After a very long duration I can see the crowds coming back to the pavilions supporting their teams. .This is one dream come true for us now. We need such support from the Government also. The Lieutenant Governor came to watch this game taking time out from his busy schedule means a lot for us. He must have himself seen the enthusiasm of the crowds, the Team Manager remarked. Football has always been the national sport of Jammu & Kashmir. There is so much enthusiasm in the childrem and their supporters, their parents, neighbourhood folks, and their team owners. This somehow increases the enthusiasm of children, said J&K Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul. We pray that football will continue in the coming days and other games will also continue. The message of peace and development will be given through these games, said Nuzhat Gul, Secretary Sports Council. Football is the number one game in the Valley. The government has created many football grounds and upgraded them, said Commissioner Secretary, J&K YSS, Sarmad Hafeez. Under lights, the synthetic football stadium in Srinagar is looking so beautiful and the people are really having fun. l am hoping with this League, the football league will increase the next year. It will keep grwoing and our home players will see new heights in this game. Our players will be able to represent in big Leagues and matches in the near future, said the Commissioner Secretary, J&K YSS, Sarmad Hafeez wishing them the best. I want to congratulate the Kashmir Super League organisers and sponsors, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. It is rare to see such enthusiasm in players. As far as Kashmir is concerned, football is not just a game but a passion among the youth here. I also thank all the spectators and fans who are sitting here cheering for the players. Football is a game that not only unites people but also connects their hearts, LG said. And I think it is a symbol of unity and brotherhood. These games have also played a big role in establishing peace in Jammu and Kashmir and in creating unity and brotherhood, LG Manoj Sinha added.
