Srinagar, June 10,2026- In a significant achievement for Jammu and Kashmir’s sporting community, young gymnast Ruddrakash Khanna has secured qualification for the 10th Asian Aerobic Gymnastics Championship 2026, earning the opportunity to represent India on the continental stage.
The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) congratulated Khanna on his impressive performance at the National Selection Trials held in Imphal, where he finished second to book his place in the Indian team for the prestigious championship.
The 10th Asian Aerobic Gymnastics Championship is scheduled to be held in Tagaytay City, Philippines, from August 5 to 7, 2026, bringing together some of Asia’s finest gymnasts to compete at the highest level.
Ruddrakash Khanna is a product of the JKSC Gymnastics Academy, and his qualification is being seen as a testament to the growing strength of gymnastics and sports development initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir. His achievement highlights the success of the Sports Council’s efforts to identify, nurture, and promote young talent from the Union Territory.
Officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council praised the gymnast’s dedication, hard work, and commitment, expressing confidence that he will make both the nation and Jammu and Kashmir proud at the international event.
