J&K’s Shagufta Bano: First Woman Sarpanch Brings Roads, Water & Light to Manwa Panchayat The first woman Sarpanch of Manwa Panchayat in Bhaderwah, Jammu & Kashmir, Shagufta Bano said, the schemes were all government but we developed our region. There was no water so we built a water reservoir. We built roads and transmitted electricity. Solar lights were installed and tile works on pavements were done. Sheds were built on the cremation ground. Temples and mosques were lit with lights. All thishappened because of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The government schemes reached us and it was brought to the farmers. We made them aware. Thus apple gardens were planted and work was done. This is how development is taking place
