Kashmir, October 8, 2025 – In a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir’s youth, three exceptional students from the region were felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their outstanding performance in the All India Trainee Test (AITT) 2025. Simran Mehraj and Saqib Hamid from Government Industrial Training Institute (Govt. ITI) Srinagar, along with Nazia Syed Gojar Lolali from Govt. Their success in AITT 2025 is a testament to the power of skill development in empowering the next generation,” the Prime Minister remarked, while handing over merit certificates and cash prizes. He also interacted with the awardees, encouraging them to leverage their skills for entrepreneurial ventures and national progress.Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who accompanied the students, expressed immense pride on behalf of J&K, stating, “This honour by the Prime Minister is a milestone for our youth’s aspirations. Simran Mehraj shared, “This recognition motivates me to innovate in sustainable technologies.” Saqib Hamid added, “Topping AITT has opened doors to advanced training; I aim to contribute to J&K’s industrial growth.” Nazia Syed Gojar Lolali, the lone female awardee from the group, emphasized women’s empowerment through vocational education.This felicitation aligns with the government’s Skill India Mission, which has trained over 1.5 crore youth nationwide since 2015.
