BARAMULLA, JULY 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today attended ‘Kashur Riwaaj 2025’, a vibrant cultural celebration held in Baramulla, aimed at showcasing the rich and diverse heritage of Kashmir through traditional music, dance, crafts, and cuisine.
Organised by the Department of Culture, J&K, in collaboration with local artists and cultural groups, the event drew large crowds, including students, tourists, and locals who came together to celebrate the essence of Kashmiri identity.
Addressing the gathering, LG Manoj Sinha praised the initiative and said, “‘Kashur Riwaaj’ is not just a festival, it is a celebration of our shared legacy, unity, and the timeless spirit of Kashmir. It reflects the resilience and creativity of our people.”
The event featured Rouf performances, Sufiyana music, live Kashmiri handicraft demonstrations, and a traditional wazwan food fest, creating a colourful mosaic of Kashmir’s cultural pride.
The Lieutenant Governor also interacted with local artisans and women entrepreneurs, reaffirming the government’s commitment to preserving intangible cultural heritage, promoting rural tourism, and empowering local communities through culture-based development.
