J&K Women Achievers Honoured | LG Celebrates Their Contribution | Talks About Further Empowerment The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir , Shri Manoj Sinha honoured 2023 women achievers of J&K. The President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu had visited Jammu & Kashmir on the 11th of October 2023. She participated in the 20th convocation ceremony of Kashmir University, said LG. In J&K, the President met those women entrepreneurs who through the medium of Self Help Groups are working and contributing to the growth of J&K. The specialty of the convocation ceremony was that around 66% of our women had achieved gold medals. They showed a better performance than J&K boys. Whether it is engineering, science or computer applications, the toppers were all girls, LG said. As the Chancellor of Jammu & Kashmir I am proud of the fact that our girls are excelling in every subject of education and flying high, LG said. Now it is our collective responsibility to ensure the future as industrialisation is taking place in Jammu and Kashmir. And as we are moving forward in IT transformation, our girls and our sisters should lead it and get new opportunities, LG stated. A flexible culture can be developed in which both their work and life can be balanced, the Lieutenant Governor said honouring women achievers.
