J&K: Strawberry Farmer Earns Big & Creates Jobs with Govt Support. I have been growing strawberry for five years. Every year I increase my Kanal area. I am earning well and giving employment to 3-4 people, said a strawberry farmer in Jammu & Kashmir’s Udhampur area belonging to Thalora village. The Indian Government has provided a lot of facilities. I get Rs 13.000 subsidy per Kanal. I got Rs1 lakh 17000 as subsidy for 9 Kanals that I added this year. I got subsidy for Borewell from the Horticulture Department and for Backhouse.
