Srinagar, October 11, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared on Friday that terrorism is breathing its last in Jammu & Kashmir, crediting the J&K Police for creating a secure, stable environment that has unleashed unprecedented socio-economic progress and prosperity across the Union Territory. Speaking at the inauguration of the 10th All India Police Judo Cluster (Men & Women) – 2025, LG Sinha highlighted how the force’s multifaceted contributions extend far beyond combating terror, fostering industrial growth, law and order, and a fear-free atmosphere for citizens to thrive.”The J&K Police is not only fighting terrorism, maintaining law & order, and protecting citizens but is also a crucial agent of socio-economic development,” LG Sinha emphasized, applauding their synergy with the Indian Army and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) in dismantling terror networks, thwarting cross-border infiltrations, and rooting out left-wing extremism nationwide. He noted that intelligence-driven operations and a holistic security strategy have tightened the noose around terror ecosystems, transforming J&K from a landscape of violence to one of vibrancy and opportunity.
“This peace has enabled unparalleled progress, bringing greater prosperity to people’s lives and driving a new era of rapid economic growth,” Sinha added, underscoring how enhanced security has paved the way for investments and community empowerment.The event, featuring over 2,000 athletes in disciplines like Judo, Wushu, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, and Karate, served as a vibrant platform to celebrate India’s unity in diversity. LG Sinha lauded sports as the “universal language of unity,” promoting inclusivity, mutual respect, collective identity, camaraderie, courage, and character building.
