JAMMU, NOVEMBER 30: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today interacted with the volunteers and officials of J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides at Raj Bhawan, commending their remarkable contributions to society and the invaluable role they play in shaping the character and values of the youth.
The Lieutenant Governor praised the Scouts and Guides movement for instilling in young people the values of discipline, camaraderie, and selfless service. “Scouts and Guides inculcate among youth the core values of our civilization and ancient culture. They serve as inspiring examples of discipline, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to the greater good,” he said.
The LG also congratulated the J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides team for their exceptional efforts in motivating more youth to join the movement. “It is a matter of great pride that the number of volunteers in J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides has surged from 7,500 in 2020 to 14,000 in 2024. The team’s work is truly praiseworthy, and their dedication continues to drive positive change,” he added.
As the Chief Patron of J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides, the Lieutenant Governor assured continued support and necessary resources to strengthen the movement further in the Union Territory. He emphasized that the young volunteers of the Scouts & Guides symbolize the hope and promise of Jammu and Kashmir and will play a key role in fostering constructive socio-economic changes in the region.
During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor was presented with the ‘Bharat Scouts & Guides Flag Sticker’ as part of the Foundation Day celebrations. He was also briefed on the ongoing activities and accomplishments of the Scouts and Guides in Jammu and Kashmir.
