Jammu, December 13: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha delivered an inspiring address at the Annual Day Function of KC International School, held at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium. The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the school’s management, teachers, and students, extending his heartfelt best wishes for their continued success.
In his speech, LG Sinha urged students to “Dream Big!” and emphasised the importance of self-belief, hard work, focus, and persistence in achieving their dreams. “I have always admired the energy, innovation, and commitment of young people. Today, our youth are at the forefront of change,” he remarked, highlighting the pivotal role that young people play in shaping the future.
Addressing the challenges facing the country, the Lieutenant Governor acknowledged that while the youth aspire for a fear-free, corruption-free, and development-oriented society, there are still forces attempting to destabilise the nation. He called for unity and collective action from the youth and society at large to defeat such elements. “We must stand together and protect the values that keep our nation strong,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also called upon the youth to work towards reclaiming India’s position as the global leader in education, drawing inspiration from historical centres of learning like Nalanda, Takshashila, and Vikramshila. “You are the successors of those who established great educational institutions. It’s time to continue that legacy and make India the Vishwa Guru once again,” he asserted.
Reflecting on the transformation of the educational landscape in Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Lieutenant Governor encouraged teachers to reinvent their classroom methods, emphasising the importance of mentorship. “Education is not just about delivering information; it’s about fostering curiosity, creativity, and imagination. We must create an environment where lifelong learning and problem-solving skills thrive,” he said.
LG Sinha also spoke about the need to strike a balance between scientific knowledge and values. “Along with core subjects, our focus should be on value-based education that nurtures new ideas, innovations, and the individuality of students,” he emphasised.
In conclusion, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated the meritorious students and praised KC International School for its significant contribution to building both knowledge and human capital in the region. He expressed his hope that the school would continue to inspire future generations.
