Sringeri, June 20, 2025* – The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Sri Manoj Sinha, visited the holy town of Sringeri, where he offered prayers and sought divine blessings at the revered Sri Sharadamba Temple. Known for its rich spiritual legacy, the temple is a central part of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, a major seat of Advaita Vedanta.
During his pilgrimage, Sri Manoj Sinha had the sacred *darshan of Jaganmata Sri Sharadamba, the presiding deity of the temple. He also met with Jagadguru Sri Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam, esteemed heads of the Sringeri Math, and received their *divine blessings.
The Lieutenant Governor was accompanied by Sri P. A. Murali ji, CEO and Administrator of Sringeri Math, who is widely respected for his committed service to the Math and its spiritual mission.
As part of the visit, Sri Sinha explored Shankaragiri hill, a spiritually important site associated with Adi Shankaracharya, the founder of the Sringeri Peetham. The hill is considered a place of deep spiritual significance and historic relevance in the spread of Sanatana Dharma.
This visit highlights the Lieutenant Governor’s respect for India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, as well as his continued engagement with prominent religious institutions. The Sringeri Sharada Peetham, founded by Adi Shankaracharya over 1,200 years ago, remains a beacon of **Vedic wisdom, spiritual knowledge, and Advaita philosophy.
