J&K LG Manoj Sinha Unveils Balidan Stambh in Srinagar on Eve of Independence Day

On the eve of the 78th Independence Day, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, inaugurated the Balidan Stambh at Pratap Park in Srinagar’s iconic Lal Chowk. The monument, which symbolizes the valor and sacrifice of martyrs, stands as a tribute to those who have made supreme sacrifices for the nation. Built at a cost of Rs 4.8 crore, the Balidan Stambh is a testament to the enduring spirit of patriotism and remembrance. During the inauguration, he was accompanied by senior officials who joined him in paying heartfelt tributes to the martyrs honoured by the monument. The ceremony underscored the significance of commemorating those who have contributed to the nation’s freedom and integrity. Following the inauguration, LG Shri Manoj Sinha proceeded to Bakshi Stadium for the main Independence Day celebrations. The event at Pratap Park was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made for the country’s freedom and a moment to reflect on the nation’s journey.
