Srinagar, October 30,2025:The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, will visit the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre , Srinagar, on October 31, 2025, to participate in a series of events marking the Foundation Day of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the official schedule, the Lieutenant Governor will flag off the ‘Run for Unity’ at 10:30 am, an event organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and celebrate the spirit of national integration and unity.
Following the flag-off, LG Sinha will inaugurate a Photo Exhibition titled “An Era of Transformative Governance” at 10:45 am. The exhibition will highlight the major governance reforms, infrastructure developments, and citizen-centric initiatives undertaken in Jammu and Kashmir over the past few years, showcasing the region’s remarkable journey toward growth and transparency.
The Lieutenant Governor will also preside over the Foundation Day celebrations of the Union Territory of J&K at 11:00 am, honouring the progress made since the formation of the UT and reaffirming the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, good governance, and public welfare.
Later in the day, at 2:30 pm, Shri Manoj Sinha will grace the inaugural function of the Students Induction Programme titled “Anekta Mein Ekta Diwas” at SKUAST-Kashmir, Shalimar, Srinagar. The event will emphasise the importance of unity in diversity, youth empowerment, and educational transformation under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The day’s events reflect the government’s continuous efforts to promote national integration, youth engagement, and transformative governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
