Kashmir, October 19,2025-In a wonderful display of cultural and religious interaction, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the fact that history, tradition, culture, and spiritual wisdom not only define a society’s identity but also pass on moral values from generation to generation and are the cause of sustainable development.
The Lieutenant Governor was ecstatic during his tour of the Kalmyk Museum in the Republic of Kalmykia, Russia, where he had termed it as “a small Kalmykia in itself under one roof.” He saw that significance of *preserving and sharing knowledge of shared heritage to future generations harmoniously strengthens the pillars of peace, harmony, and respect among nations.
On his visit, LG Manoj Sinha formally transferred the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) exhibitions and the National Museum of India to the *Kalmyk Museum. The artifacts include the artifacts featuring the *life, teachings, and spiritual legacy of Lord Buddha.
He underlined that through this joint effort, the significance and value of Lord Buddha and the holy relics’ tour to Kalmykia would be forever inscribed in the memory of the people of this lovely country.
The visit was another milestone on the consolidation of India–Russia cultural relations, with an emphasis on Buddhist heritage, interfaith harmony, and world peace.
