J&K LG Manoj Sinha reviews Amarnath Yatra plans for seamless coordination

Srinagar, June 14, 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conducted a detailed review meeting on Friday to finalize arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra 2025, set to commence on July 3 and conclude on August 9. The annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave shrine, located at 3,888 meters in the Himalayas, has already seen over 3.3 lakh registrations, signaling a massive turnout. LG Sinha emphasized flawless coordination among agencies to ensure a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching experience for devotees.

The meeting, held in Srinagar, involved key stakeholders, including the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB), J&K Police, Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and civil administration. LG Sinha directed a robust security framework, enhanced infrastructure, and improved pilgrim services to meet the yatra’s demands. “Our goal is to provide a secure and smooth journey for every devotee of Baba Amarnath,” he stated.
