Katra, April 01, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha visited the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra , where he paid obeisance and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and its people. The visit, occurring amidst the serene spring ambiance of the Trikuta Hills, underscored the LG’s deep reverence for the spiritual heritage of the region and his commitment to its progress.
Arriving at the shrine early this morning, LG Manoj Sinha participated in the traditional rituals, seeking blessings from Mata Vaishno Devi, one of India’s most venerated deities. Clad in traditional attire, he joined devotees in chanting prayers, emphasising the significance of faith and unity in fostering a harmonious society. “I prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and the well-being of all its citizens,” the Lieutenant Governor said in a brief statement following his darshan. “May Mata Vaishno Devi bless us with strength and harmony.”
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, perched at an altitude of 5,200 feet, attracts millions of pilgrims annually, making it a cornerstone of spiritual tourism in the region.
