Srinagar, May 1, 2025 —Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, chaired a high-level security review meeting with Director General of Police Shri Nalin Prabhat and other senior security officials to assess the current security situation and strategise further actions to combat cross-border terrorism.
During the meeting, LG Sinha emphasized the unwavering resolve of the people of J&K and the entire nation of India to uproot terrorism, particularly that which is sponsored from across the border. He reiterated that India’s fight against terrorism is not just a matter of national security but a collective mission to ensure lasting peace and development in the region.
“It is the collective resolve of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation to destroy the root of terror emanating from our neighbourhood. We must remain resolute and united to fulfill this mission,” said LG Manoj Sinha.
The meeting focused on intelligence coordination, proactive counter-terror operations, and community engagement to strengthen peace and stability. Officials reviewed the latest inputs on terrorist activities, infiltration attempts, and the preparedness of forces on the ground.
This meeting comes at a time when the administration is accelerating development efforts under the vision of a Viksit Bharat, ensuring that security and progress go hand-in-hand in Jammu & Kashmir.
