Jammu, July 20, 2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met with Children With Special Needs (CWSN) from Jammu Sanskriti School at Raj Bhawan, commending their outstanding achievements in the Special Olympics Bharat’s National Unified Sports Meet held at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The students, including Jasjeet, Mannan, Mridul, Anand, Uttman, Varaspreet, Praful, and Sparsh Sharma, excelled in sports disciplines such as volleyball and badminton, showcasing remarkable talent and determination.
LG Manoj Sinha praised the students’ “inspiring journey and extraordinary skills,” noting that their performance reflected “determination, perseverance, teamwork, and the true spirit of inclusion” on a national platform. He highlighted the transformative role of inclusive education and sports in building confidence and capability among children with special needs. “These achievements are a testament to the power of inclusion and the potential of every individual when given the right opportunities,” Sinha said, emphasizing the importance of creating an environment where all students can thrive.
Accompanied by school officials, including Principal and Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima, Chairperson Harpreet Singh Anand, Vice Principal Avneet Kaur Budhraja, and special educators Bhawna, Komal, Ujjwal, and Ambica, the students were celebrated for their contributions to promoting inclusivity through sports. Sinha’s interaction underscores the Jammu and Kashmir administration’s commitment to supporting inclusive education and empowering differently-abled individuals.
