Srinagar, October 13, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha hailed the Jammu and Kashmir Police as a vital force in the region’s transformation, describing them not just as guardians of law and order but as a “crucial agent of socio-economic development.” Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 10th All India Police Judo Cluster (Men & Women) – 2025, Sinha emphasized the force’s multifaceted role in fostering peace, enabling industrial growth, and building a fear-free environment for citizens.The event, held at SKISC Polo Ground here, brought together over 1,000 athletes from various police units across the country, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship and discipline. Sinha commended the J&K Police, alongside the Army and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), for their relentless efforts in dismantling terror networks, preventing cross-border infiltrations, and adopting intelligence-based operations to address internal security threats.

In his address, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted how sustained security improvements have paved the way for unprecedented progress in J&K. “J&K Police has ensured peace and a stable society for industrial growth and overall progress in the Union Territory,” Sinha stated. He declared that “terrorism is breathing its last in J&K,” crediting the collaborative efforts of security agencies for eradicating left-wing extremism and ushering in an era of rapid economic growth nationwide. Sinha praised the police’s proactive role in community engagement, youth empowerment through sports, and creating an atmosphere conducive to investment and tourism. “The Jammu and Kashmir Police is not only fighting terrorism, maintaining law and order, and protecting citizens, but it is also a crucial agent of socio-economic development,” he reiterated, underscoring their contributions to a prosperous and inclusive society.
