J&K LG Manoj Sinha joins Navkar Mahamantra Divas celebration at Raj Bhavan

Jammu, April 09, 2025 – Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participated in the Navkar Mahamantra Divas celebration held at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday, emphasising the profound spiritual significance of the revered Jain mantra. The event, which coincided with nationwide observances ahead of Mahavir Jayanti on April 10, highlighted the timeless guidance offered by ancient mantras to seekers and devotees.

In his remarks, LG Sinha described the Navkar Mahamantra as a unique embodiment of divinity, noting its distinct aura and essence. “For thousands of years, several significant ‘Mantras’ have been guiding the path of seekers and devotees. Among them, the Navkar Mahamantra stands out for its divine essence,” he stated

The celebration at Raj Bhavan brought together officials, community members, and spiritual enthusiasts to collectively honor the mantra, which is central to Jain philosophy. The Navkar Mahamantra, known for its emphasis on humility, peace, and universal harmony, was chanted in unison, reflecting its role as a unifying force.

This event followed a high-profile observance of Navkar Mahamantra Divas at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi earlier the same day, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a global gathering. The PM highlighted the mantra’s spiritual power and its connection to India’s vision of progress and heritage. LG Sinha’s participation at Raj Bhavan underscored the widespread resonance of the occasion across India.

The Navkar Mahamantra Divas at Raj Bhavan was marked by a serene ambiance, with attendees reflecting on the mantra’s teachings of self-purification and compassion. The Lieutenant Governor’s involvement added a significant dimension to the regional celebration, reinforcing the cultural and spiritual importance of the day in Jammu and Kashmir.

As the Union Territory prepares for Mahavir Jayanti, the event at Raj Bhavan served as a reminder of the enduring legacy of Jainism and its contributions to India’s spiritual heritage.
