Jammu, November 13,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in his capacity as Chancellor of the University of Jammu, delivered the Chancellor’s Address at the university’s Special Convocation, inspiring students and faculty to embrace innovation and adaptability in the rapidly changing global landscape.
Addressing the gathering, LG Sinha urged students to adopt a “skill-first” approach to education, emphasising the importance of collaboration across disciplines, continuous learning, and innovation-driven growth. He highlighted that India’s evolving economy and society demand graduates who are not only academically strong but also equipped with practical, employable skills.
“The world is changing faster than ever before. To remain relevant, our universities must become the breeding grounds for new ideas, creativity, and entrepreneurship,” the Lieutenant Governor said. He also encouraged faculty members to integrate emerging technologies, research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration into their teaching methods to help students meet 21st-century challenges.
Underscoring the government’s commitment to transforming higher education in Jammu and Kashmir, LG Sinha said the administration is focused on enhancing access, quality, and global competitiveness of the region’s universities through reforms in infrastructure, curriculum, and research ecosystem.
The event concluded with the conferring of degrees and medals upon meritorious students, celebrating academic excellence and innovation at the University of Jammu.
