J&K LG Manoj Sinha inspects damage in Uri villages hit by Pakistan’s unprovoked shelling

Srinagar, May 09, 2025: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha visited the border villages of Lagama and Gingal in Uri to assess the damage to civilian areas and residential houses caused by unprovoked shelling by Pakistan. The LG interacted with local residents, assuring them of comprehensive support and directing the district administration to provide immediate relief and ensure the safety and security of affected families.

At a safe shelter centre in Baramulla, LG Manoj Sinha met families displaced by the shelling, reaffirming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is prioritising their safety, with necessary actions underway to protect every resident of Uri. He also visited injured residents at GMC Baramulla, instructing officials to provide the best possible medical care and praying for their swift recovery.

“The nation stands wholeheartedly with the affected families. We will avenge their suffering by defeating the enemy,” LG Sinha declared.
