Jammu, March 11, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Shri Birendra Rai Hospital in Areraj, Motihari, Bihar, marking a significant step in enhancing healthcare access in the region. The hospital, equipped with cutting-edge technology, will offer specialised medical services aimed at delivering high-quality care to the local population.
In his address, LG Shri Manoj Sinha congratulated the family of the late Shri Birendra Rai, particularly Shri Rajeev Kumar and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, for their dedication to public service. “Shri Birendra Rai Ji’s family has steered this esteemed institution for the betterment of society. I extend my best wishes to them for their committed efforts,” he said.
Highlighting India’s healthcare advancements, the Lieutenant Governor credited the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the rapid progress made over the past decade. “Our innovations in technology and treatment are among the best globally, and our healthcare professionals are competing with leading institutions in developed countries,” he noted. He also emphasised India’s emergence as a preferred destination for medical treatment, attributing it to equitable, people-centred care, cost advantages, and efficient services.
LG Manoj Sinha stressed the need to address emerging challenges in the health sector by focusing on specialised human resources and expanding affordable healthcare to remote areas. “We must ensure quality services across a vast spectrum of healthcare and extend coverage to far-flung regions through collaboration between public and private sectors,” he urged.
