Jammu I March 17, 2025- Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined MSME entrepreneurs, bankers, and experts at the Indian Chamber of Commerce’s MSME Conclave 2025, emphasising the critical role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in shaping Jammu and Kashmir’s economy. Speaking at the event, LG Manoj Sinha underscored how MSMEs are driving the region’s manufacturing sector and bolstering the national “Make in India” initiative.
“MSMEs are playing a pivotal role in our economic growth. We have created an entrepreneurial ecosystem in J&K to make it a preferred investment destination,” LG Manoj Sinha stated. He highlighted that thousands of MSME units have become operational in the past few years, reflecting the region’s rapid progress. “We are determined to take MSME growth to a new level—one that is inclusive and sustainable,” he added.
LG Manoj Sinha stressed the importance of technology adoption, upgradation, innovation, and skills development as key pillars for a successful MSME ecosystem. “We have taken steps to address challenges constructively. My aim is to establish J&K as a hub of entrepreneurial excellence and employment generation,” he said. The administration’s efforts include fostering a supportive environment for small businesses, ensuring access to modern tools, and promoting innovation.
The conclave highlighted J&K’s emergence as a vibrant investment hub, with LG Manoj Sinha reiterating his commitment to positioning the region as a leader in India’s MSME landscape, contributing to both economic prosperity and job creation.
