J&K LG Manoj Sinha highlights centre’s strategy to dismantle terrorism ecosystem

Srinagar, April 4, 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha underscored the Central Government’s comprehensive approach to combating terrorism, emphasising that the focus extends beyond eliminating terrorists to dismantling the entire terrorism ecosystem. Speaking at a public event in Jammu on April 3, 2025, LG Manoj Sinha credited this strategy for the significant improvements in the region’s security landscape and its ongoing journey toward peace and prosperity.

LG Manoj Sinha highlighted that the government’s efforts target the root causes of terrorism, including its financing, logistical networks, and ideological support systems. “The Centre’s approach was not to just kill the terrorists but to choke their resources, disrupt their networks, and create an environment where terrorism cannot thrive,” he stated. This multi-pronged strategy, he noted, has weakened terror-related activities and restored public confidence in the Union Territory.

The Lieutenant Governor pointed to strengthened security measures, enhanced intelligence coordination, and community engagement as key pillars of this approach. He also praised the role of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces in executing operations with precision while minimizing collateral impact. Sinha emphasized that these efforts have reduced the influence of separatist ideologies, paving the way for development and normalcy.

Reflecting on the region’s progress, Sinha cited increased tourism, infrastructure growth, and educational advancements as evidence of a shifting narrative. He urged citizens to remain vigilant and support the administration’s vision of a peaceful and progressive Jammu and Kashmir. The Lieutenant Governor’s remarks align with broader efforts to integrate the region into the national mainstream, fostering economic opportunities and social cohesion.

His address comes at a time when Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a decline in terror-related incidents, attributed to proactive policies and grassroots initiatives. His call to sustain this momentum resonates with stakeholders committed to building a future free from the shadow of violence.
