Srinagar, October 18,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, marking the beginning of the Diwali festivities.
In his message, the LG said that Dhanteras symbolises prosperity, well-being, and new beginnings, and urged people to celebrate the festival with joy, unity, and a spirit of compassion.
“May this Dhanteras bring happiness, success, and good health to every home, and may the light of Diyas dispel darkness and negativity from our lives,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He also emphasised the importance of maintaining the spirit of harmony, cleanliness, and community bonding as people prepare for the upcoming festival of lights — Diwali.
