J&K LG Manoj Sinha enhances pilgrimage experience for devotees

J&K LG Shri Manoj Sinha recently engaged with pilgrims and chaired a meeting with officials to review the measures taken to ensure a comfortable stay for the pilgrims. During the meeting, he was briefed on the extensive arrangements made for the smooth pilgrimage of the devotees. He directed the relevant departments to deploy adequate manpower to manage the heavy influx of pilgrims. He also interacted with the service providers, assessing the facilities available, including logistics, lodging, food, health services, transportation, RFID counters, and other amenities. The 52-day pilgrimage is set to begin on June 29, starting from two routes: the traditional 48 km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag and the shorter but steeper 14 km Baltal route in Ganderbal. The yatra will conclude on August 19. According to a senior officer, the first batch of pilgrims departed from the Jammu base camp at Bhagwati Nagar for Kashmir at 4:00 AM on Friday. The yatra flagged off by the Lieutenant Governor from Yatri Niwas amidst high security arrangements. The annual pilgrimage, a spiritual journey undertaken by thousands of devotees, has always been a significant event requiring meticulous planning and execution. This year, the Lieutenant Governor’s proactive involvement has underscored the importance of ensuring the pilgrims’ well-being and the seamless operation of the pilgrimage. As the first batch of pilgrims prepares to leave the Jammu base camp at Bhagwati Nagar, the meticulous preparations and high-security arrangements in place are a testament to the administration’s dedication. The flagging off ceremony, led by the Lieutenant Governor, symbolizes the beginning of a journey marked by faith, devotion, and the assurance of a well-organized pilgrimage. The LG Shri Manoj Sinha’s involvement and the coordinated efforts of the various departments highlight a holistic approach to managing the pilgrimage. This ensures not only the physical well-being of the pilgrims but also enriches their spiritual experience.
