Nagrota, April 23, 2026- Emphasizing the need to nurture well-rounded and responsible citizens, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday called for strengthening cultural awareness and communication skills among students, stating that unity in diversity remains the defining strength of a global society.
The Lieutenant Governor made these remarks while inaugurating the new school building of Swami Pranavananda Vidyamandir in Nagrota. Addressing students, teachers, and staff, he highlighted the importance of equipping the younger generation with the ability to express themselves clearly and contribute meaningfully to society.
“Students must be encouraged to develop strong communication skills and cultural understanding to improve lives, uphold democratic values, and foster collaboration,” he said, adding that such qualities are essential for building a prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.
Urging educators to align teaching methods with evolving global trends, the Lieutenant Governor stressed the need to adapt classrooms to the changing global landscape. He noted that India is steadily progressing towards becoming a leading knowledge economy, and educational institutions play a crucial role in this transformation.
The LG also called upon students and teachers to actively contribute to nation-building, encouraging innovation, inclusivity, and a spirit of cooperation in academic environments.
The newly inaugurated school building is expected to provide improved infrastructure and a better learning environment, further strengthening the region’s educational framework.
