Kashmir, December 3,2025- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday called upon government officials, institutions, and social organisations to collectively pledge their support toward protecting and promoting the rights of Divyangjans. Speaking at an event organised to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the LG underscored the need for sensitivity, awareness, and a shared commitment to building an inclusive society.
LG Sinha emphasised that ensuring the dignity of persons with disabilities requires guaranteeing equal access to education, skill development, and livelihood opportunities. He stated that meaningful participation of Divyangjans in all sectors is essential for creating a society that reflects fairness and justice.
Highlighting the significant potential and resilience of persons with disabilities, the LG said he “salutes the determination and strength of Divyangjans,” adding that their spirit serves as a reminder of what inclusive governance must strive to achieve. He reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to establishing systems aligned with their dreams and aspirations, and to removing all challenges and barriers that impede their growth.
The event, attended by dignitaries, social organizations, activists, and members of the Divyangjan community, focused on strengthening disability rights, improving accessibility, and fostering broader awareness across Jammu & Kashmir.
