Jammu, November 20, 2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated and addressed the Jammu Trade & Logistics Conclave-2025, highlighting Jammu’s rapid transformation into a strategic trade and logistics hub connecting Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and the rest of India.
Speaking at the event, the Lt Governor underlined that unprecedented improvement in road and rail connectivity over the last five years has unlocked Jammu’s long-standing potential as a vital trade corridor.
“Jammu is rapidly emerging as the trade and logistics hub that will seamlessly connect Ladakh and the Kashmir Valley with the country’s major trade corridors. The massive boost in road and rail infrastructure in the last five years has removed historical bottlenecks and opened new economic avenues,” Sinha said.
He stressed that building a robust storage, logistics and warehousing ecosystem is now the need of the hour to accelerate Jammu & Kashmir’s journey towards self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat).
“A world-class logistics and warehouse ecosystem will directly link producers with consumers, reduce wastage, ensure better price realization for farmers and artisans, and fulfil the aspirations of our traders, industrialists, MSMEs and the entire business community,” the Lt Governor added.

The conclave, attended by leading industrialists, logistics companies, policymakers and trade bodies, focused on investment opportunities in warehousing, cold storage, freight corridors and supply-chain infrastructure in the region.With the operationalization of new rail links, all-weather road connectivity and upcoming logistics parks, industry experts believe Jammu is poised to become North India’s most strategic trade and transit hub in the coming years.
