SRINAGAR, JULY 25: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, today met with a 50-member delegation of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation (@JkSYSF) at Raj Bhawan. During the interaction, the LG lauded the Foundation’s commendable initiatives aimed at engaging youth in constructive activities, supporting families affected by terrorism, promoting de-radicalization, and working towards drug de-addiction across the Union Territory.
Describing the Foundation as a “ray of hope” for many, LG Sinha appreciated their ground-level interventions that align with the administration’s vision for a peaceful, progressive, and drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. He acknowledged the courage and compassion demonstrated by the members who have dedicated themselves to transforming lives, especially among the youth population that has long been vulnerable to exploitation and substance abuse.
The Save Youth Save Future Foundation, a grassroots civil society initiative, has been active in community counselling, rehabilitation of affected families, and creating awareness around the dangers of radicalization and drug addiction. Through workshops, family outreach, and peer support networks, the organisation has earned recognition for its people-centric approach to peacebuilding and social reform.
“Empowering youth, healing the wounds of victims of terrorism, and pulling young lives back from the clutches of drugs—these are not easy tasks. Yet, this Foundation is proving that with sincerity and commitment, real change is possible,” LG Sinha remarked while interacting with the delegates.
He assured the delegation of the UT administration’s full support in their mission and encouraged them to continue their work with the same zeal and integrity. He also stressed the importance of stronger community partnerships in ensuring lasting peace and holistic development in the region.
The members of the Foundation expressed gratitude to the LG for his encouragement and reaffirmed their commitment to building a better future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir through awareness, education, and active civic engagement.
