Ganderbal, Jammu & Kashmir, April 18, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha graced the attestation cum passing out parade of Jammu and Kashmir Police constables at the Police Training School Manigam in Ganderbal district . The ceremony marked the completion of rigorous training for the latest batch of recruits, who are now prepared to serve in maintaining law and order and ensuring security across the Union Territory.
Addressing the gathering, Sinha congratulated the new constables for their dedication and commended the training staff for their comprehensive program, which includes physical fitness, weapon handling, counter-terrorism tactics, and community policing. He praised the Jammu and Kashmir Police as a vital force in safeguarding the region’s integrity, emphasizing their role in countering emerging threats like narco-terrorism and cybercrime. “Your commitment to duty will strengthen our resolve for a terror-free and fear-free Jammu and Kashmir,” Sinha stated, encouraging the recruits to serve with integrity and sensitivity.
The parade featured impressive drills, including riot control demonstrations and unarmed combat displays, showcasing the recruits’ readiness. Sinha took the Rashtriya Salute, inspected the parade, and felicitated outstanding trainees. An oath was administered to the constables, pledging their allegiance to the nation and its people.
