Jammu, March 19, 2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the evening Aarti at the revered Raghunath Temple in Jammu on Thursday, describing the experience as a “privilege” and a spiritually uplifting moment.
The Aarti, dedicated to Shri Raghunath Ji, was performed with deep devotion by both men and women, symbolizing India’s enduring cultural ethos of inclusivity and spiritual harmony. The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the ceremony reflected the nation’s timeless reverence for Nari Shakti and the philosophical concept of Ardhanarishvar, which represents the unified balance of masculine and feminine energies.
Speaking on the occasion, Sinha noted that such sacred rituals not only preserve India’s rich spiritual traditions but also serve as a reminder of the importance of gender balance and respect in society.
“The participation of devoted men and women together in the Aarti beautifully embodies our civilizational values,” he said, adding that the ceremony invokes divine blessings for all living beings.
The Raghunath Temple, one of the most prominent religious sites in Jammu, witnessed a large gathering of devotees during the evening ritual. The atmosphere was filled with chants, devotional music, and spiritual fervor.
The Lieutenant Governor concluded his visit by offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all.
