Udhampur, November 22,2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed pride in the selfless service and supreme sacrifices of the Indian Army, describing it as a true symbol of unity and national integration. He highlighted the Army’s pivotal role in creating a conducive environment for sustainable peace and promoting overall development in Jammu & Kashmir, contributing to the growth of the country.
As part of its welfare initiatives, a mega eye camp ‘Op Drishti’ was organized at the Command Hospital Northern Command, Udhampur, targeting veterans, Veer Naris, and civilians. The 4-day camp featured cataract surgeries and eye care services performed by a professional team of eye surgeons from Army Hospital Research & Referral, Delhi.
Officials emphasised that initiatives like Op Drishti not only provide critical medical assistance but also reinforce the Army’s commitment to community welfare and the well-being of J&K residents. The camp successfully addressed eye health concerns, enhancing the quality of life for participants and reflecting the Army’s dedication to public service.
