Udhampur, June 16, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the Passing-out Parade of 49 Deputy Superintendents of Police and 1,112 Police Sub-Inspectors at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) in Udhampur today. The event marked a significant milestone in the careers of these J&K Police probationers, with the LG commending their skilful and synchroniSed parade as a symbol of a “new dawn” in their professional journey.

In his address, LG Sinha called upon the newly trained officers to uphold the core values, traditions, and ethos of the Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP), emphasizing their role in protecting truth, justice, morality, law, and good governance. He expressed immense pride in the JKP’s valiant personnel and officers, noting that the nation holds the force in high regard for its professional competence, effective handling of security challenges, and relentless efforts in combating terrorism.
“The entire nation looks at our police force with admiration and respect for their professionalism and success in tackling multiple fronts while ruthlessly fighting terrorism,” Sinha said. He urged the JKP to protect society comprehensively to ensure peace, development, and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
Highlighting the priority of achieving complete eradication of terrorism from the region, the LG advocated for a multi-pronged approach. He encouraged the JKP to leverage intelligence, community engagement, technology, and inter-agency collaboration to strengthen their efforts. “Our mighty warriors of JKP must adopt innovative strategies to ensure a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
The parade at SKPA Udhampur showcased the discipline and readiness of the 49 DySsP and 1,112 PSIs, who are now set to contribute to the JKP’s mission of maintaining law and order and fostering a secure environment in the region.
